Roosevelt Blvd. accident last week injured four

MARMORA – The Marmora Volunteer Fire Co. and Upper Township EMS responded to a two-car accident at 7:54 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17 which left four people injured.
The accident occurred on Roosevelt Blvd. near the southbound entrance of the Garden State Parkway. An SUV crashed into the passenger side of a minivan as it was making the turn onto the parkway entrance.
Four patients required treatment and were transported to local hospitals. An ambulance from the Ocean City Fire Department was called to assist with treatment and transport, said Marmora Fire Chief Jay Newman.
Two of the passengers needed to be extricated from their vehicle using the “Jaws of Life,” he said.
New Jersey State Police also responded. The scene was cleared by 9:15 a.m.
