Country Shore Women’s Club performs ‘Sleeping Beauty’

MARMORA – The Country Shore Women’s Club will perform “Sleeping Beauty” at 7 p.m. March 21-24 and at 3 p.m. March 24 at the Upper Township Elementary School.  

The play will feature women from the club and their children. All show proceeds will benefit local community service organizations.

 

Advanced tickets prices are $6 for singles and $5 for groups of 15 or more. Tickets will $7 at the door. 

Last year, the Country Shore Women’s Club donated more than $2,000 to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Holiday fundraisers included donating baked goods to the men at the Woodbine Developmental Center, coats to students in need and gifts to needy children attending both Upper Township and Ocean City schools.    

The Country Shore Women's Club of Upper Township was federated in 1969. It is a member of the General Federation of Women's Club (GFWC), an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. 

GFWC was founded in 1889 and over the years has supported the arts, preserved natural resources, promoted education, encouraged healthy lifestyles, stressed civic involvement, and worked towards world peace and understanding.
