Republican county committee accepting candidate petitions

UPPER TOWNSHIP – The Upper Township Republican County Committee is accepting candidates’ petitions for two seats on Upper Township Committee.

 

Registered republicans residing in Upper Township interested in filling one of the seats are encouraged to submit 30 copies of their resume to Janet McCrosson, c/o 554 Pine Place, Marmora, NJ 08223 by Friday, Feb. 22, according to a press release.

The county committee will meet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at the VFW Post on Lyndhurst Ave. in Marmora during which each interested candidates will be given five minutes to speak regarding their interest in this position. Two candidates will then be chosen to run in the primary election in June.

The General Election is in November. Incumbents Deputy Mayor Curtis Corson, Jr. and Committeeman Jay Newman are expected to seek re-election.
