Upper shooters move on to regionals

Emily Greenling, Kelsey LeNoir, Logan Bloomstead and Savanna Holt were champions in their age group at the Knights of Columbus District 50 Free Throw Contest.

SOMERS POINT – Four Upper Township students were named District 50 champions in the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest held Feb. 9 at St. Joseph’s Regional School in Somers Point.

Savanna Holt, 11, Kelsey LeNoir, 12, and Emily Greenling, 13, won in the girls division. Logan Bloomstead, 13, boys’ champion in his age group.

Contestants participated in a best of 25 shot format. The Upper Township competitors represented the Msgr. James J. Zegers/Resurrection Knights of Columbus. 

The winners advance to the Camden Diocese Regional competition to be held Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Upper Township Community Center.
