TUCKAHOE – Three people were injured Saturday night when the boat they were in struck a boat ramp at high speed.

The 20-foot boat went airborne and landed on a bulkhead adjacent to the boat ramp in the Lester McNamara Wildlife Management Area off Mosquito Landing Road in Tuckahoe shortly after 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, according to a press release from the Upper Township Rescue Squad.

 A man and a woman were injured and taken by helicopter to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. Another man was transported to Shore Regional Medical Center in Somers Point.

The Upper Township Rescue Squad, Belleplain Emergency Corps, Tuckahoe Volunteer Fire Company and New Jersey State Police responded to the scene.

The State Police Marine Services Bureau and State Police Crime Scene Unit are investigating the incident.
