Thank God it’s Friday, because this weekend will be warm.
South Jersey residents will awake this Friday morning with future thoughts of enjoying the outdoors this weekend. We are about to experience the warmest weekend weather in weeks and the warmest weather we will have for a long, long time.
So grab your golf clubs, your walking shoes, your motorcycle helmet, or your yard rake and get to it.
According to the National Weather Service, today’s temperatures will reach near 50 degrees with rain developing this afternoon. Rain ends tonight.
After a foggy start on Saturday morning, the temperature will climb through the 50s to near 60 degrees on the South Jersey mainland.
Sunday’s weather looks even better.
Though it will remain cloudy, the temperature should soar past the other side of 60s.
Monday looks just as warm with the temperature peaking again at 60.
Then temperatures gradually cool off during the week with daily highs struggling to reach the mid-40s.
Looking ahead, there is cold air coming to South Jersey toward the end of next week. The cold artic air that is currently sending western Canadian temperatures to 20 degrees below average, could pass to our north over Northern New England. The artic air may have enough influence on South Jersey weather to push our daily high temperatures into the mid-30s and give us a chance for snow.
But this weekend, however, it’s all about the outdoors.
