National Weather Service issues coastal flood advisory

The National Weather Service Mount Holly Prediction Center has issued a coastal flood advisory from 7 p.m. to midnight Tuesday, Feb. 26 for areas along the Delaware Bay and Atlantic Ocean.

The National Weather Service is predicting minor tidal flooding caused by the combined effects of an approaching nor’easter and Monday’s full moon.

Ocean flooding could occur around 8 p.m. and will spread to the back bays as the evening progresses, the Weather Service said.

Seas will range fro 6-10 feet on the ocean and 2-5 feet on Delaware Bay.

Roadways that are prone to minor tidal flooding should be avoided this evening.
