A coastal flood advisory for the morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 3 has been issued by the National Weather Service Mount Holly Forecast Center.

The flood advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 for the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay coastal areas of South Jersey, the Weather Service Said.

In New Jersey, the Coastal Flood watch is for Monmouth, Ocean, Burlington, Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties.

Areas of minor coastal flooding could happen this morning with the passing of the high tide which occurs between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.

“Localized roadway and poor drainage flooding is anticipated,” the National Weather Service said in publishing the advisory. “Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal flooding.”

The Weather Service said some roadways in low-lying areas could be closed.

“The most vulnerable roadways will flood,” the National Weather Service said.
