The National Weather Service is forecasting less than an inch of snow will fall on Saturday across most of Atlantic and Cape May counties before changing to all rain. The National Weather Service Mount Holly Forecast Center issued an updated forecast on Thursday, which downplayed the potential snowfall amounts across New Jersey and extreme southeastern Pennsylvania.

Snow will begin falling when the precipitation arrives at 7 a.m. Saturday morning. However, temperatures will quickly climb past the freezing mark and into the upper 30s by noon. Temperatures will remain in the upper 30s during the overnight hours from Saturday into Sunday.

The precipitation will end Sunday morning while temperatures are still near 40 degrees, the National Weather Service.

Areas to the north and west of Philadelphia will receive more snow and a chance of freezing rain.
