The same air mass that will create negative-30 degree temperatures on Tuesday, Jan. 28 across portions of the upper Midwest will keep daytime highs in the mid-teens in South Jersey.

There will be lots of sunshine, but it won’t feel like it.

According to the National Weather Service noontime temperatures will struggle to reach 5-6 degrees across the mainland portion of South Jersey.

Though temperatures will moderate through the rest of the work week, they will remain far below normal temperatures, the Weather Service says.

Normal end-of-January high temperatures should reach around 40 degrees.

The high temperature on Wednesday could reach 22 degrees. It may reach 31 on Thursday and 36 on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
