The National Weather Service has declared an air quality action day for Tuesday, July 8 for South Jersey. These groups include people with lung disease, such as asthma; children and older adults and people who are active outdoors.

Tuesday’s South Jersey mainland high temperatures are forecast to reach the middle-90s. Combined with high humidity levels, heat index readings could reach near 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
