More than 11,000 Atlantic City Electric customers without power

The heavy thunderstorms that prompted flash flood warnings across Atlantic and Burlington counties this evening have also left thousands of people without electrical service, according to Atlantic City Electric.

As of 7:15 p.m., 11,970 customers were without power across South Jersey.

Cape May County appeared to be the hardest hit with 3,591 customers without service. There were 3,435 customers without power in Burlington County. In Atlantic County 2,094 customers were without service.
