The high pressure system will push rain and hot summer temperatures to the south of the South Jersey and the Middle Atlantic States for the better part of the next seven days, the National Weather Service said.

As a result, daily South Jersey high temperatures are expected to be seasonably cool and about a few degrees lower than normal, the National Weather Service said on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

After a high temperature of 84 degrees on Friday, Aug. 8, the South Jersey mainland high temperature will reach 82 on Saturday, Aug. 9 and 81 degrees on Sunday, Aug. 10.

Both Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly sunny.

The overnight low temperatures on both nights should settle into the lower-60s.
