A recent party for Heather Stocker celebrated her graduation from Stockton College with a degree in Criminal Justice. Some may say the party was really for Gary and Sharon Stocker to celebrate Heather’s time attending college. Either way you look at it, now that she is finished it was time to party.

The party was held at the Bayview and good friends and family were there including Jack Stocker, the Stocker patriarch. Jack was pleased to be there especially since his great-grandson Nathan Otto Stocker came and brought his parents Tom and Melissa as well as his grandparents Patty and Tom.

Jack’s daughters Kathy Thompson and Judy Huber were there with their spouses Dave and Bob and several of his grandchildren were present. Jack Stocker was the first of four generations of Stocker men there; Jack, his son Tom, his grandson Tom, and Nathan, his great grandson.

Heather hopes to enter the Police Academy, and upon completion to get a job with the Wildwood Crest Police Department. In fact, the cry of the night was “Get a job, Get a job.”

Heather’s cousins Debbie Felice and Melissa Obermiere came for the event and Sharon Stockers’ friend Betsy Williams was also there.

Good friends Michele and Fred Mettler came and Ann and John Fitzgerald (They run the Hydrofest each year in Wildwood Crest) were there. So was Diane and Jim Ranelli, Jack and Joan Maurer, Dee and Ed Grassi, Karen and Jack Holland, Elaine and Barry Miles. Tracey Kita came with her daughter Kaleigh.  Her husband Bill was absent and Pam and Gary Adyelotte were with their daughter Danielle.

Sharon had her sister Marge Berry in from Maryland with her daughter Julie and her husband Rob Haendiges, Sharon lost her sister, Chris Tarsi, to cancer several years ago but both her nieces Debbie and Melissa came with their husbands.

Heather’s cousins Steven Thompson and MacKenzie Huber came. Heather and her cousin MacKenzie vied to be the most special granddaughter of Jack Stocker.

Sharon’s BFF Betsy Williams has moved back to the city since selling her home. Betsy and Sharon have been close friends for many years. They even work their summer jobs together.

Dave Thompson also celebrated his birthday at Heather’s party with a special cake from Heather.  By the way, he is the new fire chief of the Wildwood Crest Fire Department.

The food included a delicious Caesar salad, pasta with shrimp, roast beef, spicy wings with sauce and a large chocolate and white graduation cake.
