Coffee shop to open at The Grand

WILDWOOD CREST – The grand opening of The Coffee House and The Grand Scoop at the Grand will be 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 22.

The event will take place at The Coffee House at the Grand located in the base of The Grand Condominiums at 9601 Atlantic Ave. Parking is located on the north side of the building.

Guests will be treated to free coffee, samples of bagels, soups, desserts and ice cream.

The new business features coffee beverages, soups, pastries and breakfast sandwiches, fresh salads using local produce, and a variety of sandwiches. A full service ice cream parlor, The Grand Scoop, features ice cream cones, sundaes and milkshakes.

"We are excited for The Coffee House at the Grand's first full season. They offer delicious beverages along with sweet and savory treats in a space where people can relax and connect with one another," said Tracey Dufault, executive director of the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce in a statement.

The Coffee House at the Grand is open seasonally seven days a week, from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. More information on the company and the event can be found at www.thecoffeehouseatthegrand.com .

The Coffee House at the Grand is owned and operated by Cape May County natives, Tom Grookett and Nicolette Cannuli. Grookett and Cannuli are siblings raised in Wildwood and graduates of Wildwood High School.

While growing up, Grookett worked at local shore businesses in the greater Wildwood area, such as Two Mile Landing and the Port Royale Café. Currently, he is a practicing physician in the Cherry Hill area, where he lives with his wife and two children. 

Cannuli raised her two children in Cape May County and is real estate agent with Century21-Alliance.
