WILDWOODS - During Hurricane Sandy wind gusts were recorded between 50 to 70 mile per hour winds and in Wildwood Crest 11.67 inches of rain fell during the storm, according to the National Weather Center. Sandy brought a high morning tide of 9.3 feet on Oct. 29 and took over one million cubic yards of sand from North Wildwood's dune system, according to North Wildwood Mayor Bill Henfey.
