WILDWOOD CREST — A Middle Township man was arrested on Dec. 6 after allegedly burglarizing multiple homes in Wildwood Crest.
According to a press release from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wildwood Crest Police Department, Jamal Woodson, 37, was arrested after he attempted to pawn several stolen items at a local pawn shop. After a search warrant was served, police also found firearms, flat screen TV’s and various electronics that were stolen from two residents of Wildwood Crest in the last week.
Woodson’s arrest was the culmination of a multi-jurisdictional investigation that included personnel from the county Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit; Borough of Wildwood Crest; City of Wildwood; Lower Township; and Middle Township
Woodson was charged with burglary, theft, and certain persons not to possess a firearm. Because the investigation is still on-going, additional charges may follow, according to Prosecutor Robert Taylor. Woodson is being lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Facility on a $150,000 cash bail.
