Police had 2,935 incidents in North Wildwood

NORTH WILDWOOD — The North Wildwood Police Department had 2,935 calls during October. Police responded to two motor vehicle accidents, eight thefts, seven burglaries, four simple assaults and five drug offenses.

Other incidents include 57 disorderly person offenses, 13 malicious property damage calls, 196 traffic enforcement incidents, 69 summons issued, 58 medical incidents, two recovered stolen items and 12 animal complaints. They responded to 42 false burglar alarms. According to reports, 87 people were arrested and there were six drunken driving arrests.
