Middle teen arrested in Wildwood shooting

Raekwon Cade, an 18 year old man of Middle Township, has been arrested in connection to a shooting outside a Wildwood pub just after midnight Jan. 30.

A man was shot in the leg outside Cattle and Clover on Pacific Avenue. He was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

According to Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor, Wildwood Police Chief Steve Long and Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner, a joint investigation concluded that Cade shot Kenneth Clarke.

Members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Wildwood Police Department and the Middle Township Police Department found Cade on Jan. 31, and he was arrested without incident, according to information from the prosecutor’s office.

Raekwon Cade was charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, according to officials. Cade was sent to county jail with bail set at $750,000 full cash.

Taylor, Long and Leusner recognized the efforts of the agencies involved, in a statement released by the prosecutor.
