Wildwood man on the run after allegedly shooting victim with crossbow

WILDWOOD – A 31-year-old Wildwood man faces attempted homicide charges after he allegedly shot another man in the leg with a crossbow Tuesday morning, Aug. 5, police said.

Police say the suspect, Jonathon Moya, is at large and was last seen leaving the area of the incident in a small, white pickup truck with temporary New Jersey registration.

Police were called to the Gilmore Hotel on Schellenger Avenue after they were notified that a man was bleeding from his leg there. Upon arrival, they discovered Angel Adorno Serrano, 35, had an arrow through his left thigh.

Moya fled the scene, but another man, Carlos Casanova-Rosario, 29, of Wildwood, was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and obstruction as a result of the incident.

Casanova-Rosario was lodged in Cape May County Jail on $12,500 full cash bail.

Moya has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
