WILDWOOD CREST — An 11-year-old who suffered head injuries after an arcade game at the Bal Harbour Hotel fell on top of her around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night was set to be released from the hospital Friday, Lt. Joseph McGrath of the Wildwood Crest Police Department said.

The girl had been airlifted to DuPoint Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Del., for treatment.

The Wildwood Fire Department’s Engine 38 and Ambulance 391 responded to the accident for mutual aid. When first responders arrived, they found the injured girl on the ground surrounded by family members. It is unclear how the arcade game fell on top of her, the fire department said.

The girl was treated by medics on the scene and transported to Crest Memorial School, where the landing zone for medevac was established.

The Wildwood Crest Police Department, as well as the borough’s fire department and EMS, were also on the scene.
