WILDWOOD — The Doo Wop Experience Museum is interested in visitor’s memories of vacations in the Wildwoods.

The museum plans to install a shutter grid, an exhibition tool similar to a large television that offers a way to search for images generally, such as motels or restaurants. Dan MacElrevey, president of the Doo Wop Preservation League, which operates the Ocean Avenue museum, said the Shutter Grid will hold thousands of visitor-submitted photographs that can be searched and give a glimpse into individual visitors’ memories.

The museum is relying on donor support to purchase the shutter grid, a device created by Lynch Exhibits of Burlington, and MacElrevey said individual efforts are key to actually seeing the device installed. He estimated the museum needs another $2,700 or so is needed before the project can move forward.
