CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Federal Emergency Management Agency continues to assist residents and business owners in Cape May County who sustained damage during Hurricane Sandy.
However, Disaster Recovery Centers established to help property owners affected by superstorm Sandy will begin scaling back hours starting next week.
Effective immediately, Sandy-related DRCs will be closed on Sundays.
The centers will continue to operate Monday to Saturday. Those affected by Sandy are encouraged to register with FEMA at DisasterAssistance.gov before visiting a DRC.
Disaster recovery centers are in the lower level of the Cape May Court House library at 30 West Mechanic St. and in the Ocean City Community Center, 1735 Simpson Ave. The centers are open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
The deadline for registration with FEMA is Dec. 31. Those who received a disqualification letter should bring it to one of the centers.
For more information, call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
