City police handle 2,939 incidents

NORTH WILDWOOD — During the month of November, the city handled 2,939 calls, including three motor vehicle accidents, eight thefts, seven burglaries, two simple assaults, two aggravated assaults and one drug offense.

The other incidents included 43 disorderly persons offenses, three malicious property damage calls, 260 traffic enforcement incidents, 110 summonses issued, 55 medical calls and nine animal complaints. The department responded to 41 false burglar alarms. According to police, 71 people were arrested, including two drunken driving arrests.
