Signups for the Ocean City NFL Flag Football league, sponsored by the Youth Gridiron Academy, are underway.

The league, which runs from March 18 to May 13, plays every Sunday (except Easter) from noon to 4 p.m. That includes an hour of practice and an hour-long game within the team’s age bracket.

It is open to boys and girls age 5 to 14 years old. All levels of experience are welcome.

All games and practices are held at Carey Stadium adjacent to Ocean City High School.

Registration for the league runs until Feb. 1. Payment can be made as a team ($750) or as an individual ($125).

There is a minimum of seven players and a maximum of 10 per team. All teams must have a coach and choose an NFL team to represent on a first-come, first-serve basis.

All participants received an NFL team-branded reversible jersey, an NFL flag football belt, USA Football player membership and player’s insurance coverage.

Youth Gridiron Academy is an affiliate of NFL FLAG, powered by USA Football and is also part of NFL PLAY 60, the league's youth health and fitness campaign. The program promotes physical fitness by getting kids active for 60 minutes a day.

Registration and payment can be made on www.yganj.com/ocflag.
