PETERSBURG – The Upper Township Fall Fest is set to take place 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23 at Amanda’s Field in Petersburg.

The event was canceled twice earlier this month because of weather. Committeeman Hobie Young, who oversees sports and recreation, said organizers are making sure the Fall Fest goes off without a hitch this time.

“We will hopefully be able to get the bands out and enjoy the day,” he said at the Oct. 11 Upper Township Committee meeting. “We have also reserved the Community Center in case of rain so we don’t have to cancel again.”

In the event of rain, the Fall Fest will be moved to the Community Center on Route 50 in Tuckahoe, Young said.

Young said there are 32 vendors expected to take part in the Fall Fest. There will be a free concert and kid-friendly activities like face painting, pony rides, pony rides, Halloween characters, pumpkin painting, and hay rides. Vendors and other organizations will have tables open.
