Tuckahoe firefighters and the Upper Township Division of EMS responded to Carl Road in Corbin City in the early hours of Thursday, April 20 after a vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree.

CORBIN CITY – A car left the roadway and crashed into a tree off Carl Road in Corbin City early Thursday.

The Tuckahoe Volunteer Fire Company and Upper Township Division of EMS responded to the scene at 1:54 a.m. April 20, according to a post on the fire company’s Facebook page. Firefighters found the vehicle on fire in the woods when they arrived. The car had gone off Carl Road and hit a tree. Two occupants were treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital. There was no immediate information on their condition.

Two hand lines were extended to the accident scene and the fire was extinguished. Units operated for about two hours before returning to service, according to the post.

The accident is under investigation by New Jersey State Police.
