WILDWOOD CREST — The Board of Commissioners held its annual reorganization meeting Wednesday, Jan. 3 at the Wildwood Crest Pier Recreation Center.
Commissioners Don Cabrera and Joyce P. Gould were returned to office, and were joined by new Commissioner David C. Thompson.
Cabrera, who is beginning his fifth term as a member of the board, was appointed mayor and named commissioner of public works, parks and recreation.
Gould, who is starting her seventh term as a commissioner, was appointed deputy mayor and named commissioner of revenue and finance.
Thompson, who is serving his first term, was named commissioner of public safety.
The borough commissioners serve four-year terms that expire Dec. 31, 2021.
Ronald Gelzunas was appointed the new borough solicitor. Appointments to volunteer posts on various borough boards were also approved at the meeting.
