WILDWOOD — The Anglesea Irish Society is collecting toys to give to southern Cape May County families in need and terminally ill children at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Philadelphia.

A number of local businesses will be serving as toy drop-off locations, according to a news release.

“This obviously isn’t our first year hosting these toy drives, but this is our first year where we had a number of local businesses band together with our public organization for the better good,” society President Bill O'Connell said in the statement.

Toys can be dropped off at Cape Island Realty, 105 W. Second Ave., North Wildwood; Wild Ocean Surf Shop, 5011 Ocean Ave., Wildwood; North Wildwood Shirt Shop, 1707 New Jersey Ave.; and 7-Mile Brewery, 3156 Route 9 South in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township.

"We are happy that our organization can bring smiles to children and families in need during the holidays, and I believe I can speak for our entire organization in saying that I am grateful for the assistance from our members and the local businesses in making this year’s toy drives another great success,” O’Connell said.
